Rory vs. Rice Cereal!

3 Months!

Little girl, you are a quarter of a year old! You love to jabber and be spoken to. You are growing so fast and changing every day. Daddy and I can't wait to see you every morning. You are so precious. You wimper and fuss, but the second you see one of us you start to laugh and smile. We change your diaper, pick out an outfit, and eat breakfast. You smile the whole time. After breakfast you sit in the bumbo, play with your jungle chair, or play with Mr. Star on your mat. Daddy is helping you to play on your tummy and roll over. You don't really like to be on your tummy, but we don't want flat head! You take 2-4 naps per day and eat every 3-4 hours. Right now you especially like to be held in the Moby wrap when you are fussy. We have been shopping and out to eat lots of times using the Moby in the past few days. I get lots of funny looks when I put you in it. I must admit, we do look kinda wierd.
This week you are with Nana, Papa, Aunt Laura, Uncle Kevin, Landon, Liam, Kallie, Klaire, Big Grandma, Big Grandpa, Great Aunts Cari, Tris, and Penny. Next week you will also have Gmama and PawPaw too! You are so loved. Don't ever doubt it!

Our Colorado Trip 2010

We are on our annual trip to Redstone, Colorado for the 4th of July. My mom's family gathers yearly and we have come to look forward to it all year. My grandparents live here year-round, and my parents have a beautiful log cabin just a few miles away. This is the view from the porch!

This is a fox that has been visiting the porch in the mornings. He is so cute!

Yesterday Rory woke up about 30 mins early, so I pulled her into bed with us so we could get a few extra zzz's. I couldn't go back to sleep so I went on my way. When I returned an hour later, this is what I found. I don't know if I'll ever have a sweeter picture.

Twins?

This is my friend Jess! We have been buds since we were 4. I look forward to seeing her every time I visit. This trip Rory was spoiled rotten by her after church, and I have a feeling much more spoiling by Jess is on the way!

More family is coming into town in the next few days. More to come...

She's growing up too fast!

2 months... only a few weeks late

My precious little Lorelai:

You are 2 months old. You giggle and coo. You are really tall: 23.5 inches and you weigh 10.5 lbs. When Daddy gets home from work each day, you get sooo excited. You love to play and talk with him. Also, you enjoy being outside. A quick walk outside or an outting in your stoller are always a hit. You have outgrown all of your newborn sized clothes and sometimes you are too tall for 3 month clothes! Bath time is still a favorite time for you as well. You love to kick in the warm water. At night you sleep about 6-7 hours before a feeding. Then, you go three or four after that. During the day you eat on a very regular 3 hour schedule, but napping isn't going so well. You do not want to nap in your bed for more than 30 mins at a time. You are a cat-napper! We are working on getting you to take a longer nap at least twice a day. You drink about three and a half ounces at every feeding and give good burps! Every other bottle is formula, and your tummy is doing much better with it than when you were first born. I love to dress you in a different outfit every morning. You don't always like the bows on your head, but I make you wear them when we go out. You're just too cute!

Daddy and I can't believe how much we love you. Sometimes we just sit on the couch with you and talk about how pretty you are. We can't wait to see you each morning.... even when you keep us up at night.

"Your daughter? What is her name?" - Lyndi
"Hatch!" - Liam
"Hatch... why Hatch?" - Lyndi
"Because she hatched out of my body DeDe!" - Liam

He made my week.
